These days, Mark Dekutoski, MD can be found working out of the CORE Institute as a top-notch researcher. There seem to be many possible reasons why the folks at CORE sought him out and why they seemed to be quite enthusiastic about having him join them. He has demonstrated a strong research prowess over the years, but based on what they say about them, they also seemed impressed with his ability to treat patients with compassion. Dr. Mark Dekutoski also has a passion for helping move the medical profession to the next level by teaching the next generation to do things that were unthinkable when he was just starting out. His education seems to make for a great foundation, in that it shows him to have a love of learning that probably drives the love of teaching at CORE. His education began when he earned a B.A. from Albion University in 1982 and it continued at Wayne State University’s School of Medicine, where he became Dr. Mark Dekutoski, MD in 1986. That was not the end of his education, however; he also completed an internship in general surgery and a residency in orthopedic surgery. He also served as a John H. Moe Clinical Spine Fellow at the Twin Cities Scoliosis Spine Center at the University of Minnesota in 1993. Comments are closed.
